moulds

To finally make this design out of stone you need four different moulds those of the lid, spout, handle and body.These molds have to be positive to make a negative mould out of plaster. The negative plaster mold is used for slip casting. Because you're going to slip cast, the design of the mould has to be adjusted, so there has to be a casting house on it and the mould has to be loose.

here I have used too much releasing agent you can still see the brush strokes here

here I used not enough releasing agent so the plaster did not come loose from the mold. where by the gispe mold broke.
